Hey Jmetbsirois, Educate yourself about the powerball and you will find that the gov. takes only around 30% . the rest is forfited so they can get a cash settlement, instead of paments over 30 years.

Isn't it unbeleivable how much money the local and state government has taken out of his winnings??? He wins 97 million and they took 63.1 million away, that isn't right. Congrats to him, I am sure he has more than enough money to last him a life time and then some, I just don't understand why the government walks away with more than he does.
